On 6th September, 2024 GHS Jhangra Abbottabad commemorated Defense Day with enthusiasm and patriotic spirit, honoring the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces during the 1965 war. The event was designed to instill a sense of national pride among students and faculty members, reflecting the significance of the day in Pakistan’s history.
The celebration began with a special assembly, where students sang the national anthem and recited patriotic poems. Principal Mr. Jamshed Khan delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the bravery of Pakistan’s soldiers and the importance of defending the nation.
The event concluded with a prayer for the prosperity and security of the country, followed by a school-wide salute to the nation’s flag, instilling pride and respect for the country’s military efforts.
